I recently had the opportunity of documenting the wedding of Randy and Olya Baranosky. This was a fantastic event held in a backyard in Long Beach that was wonderfully decorated. They made their vows beneath a huge tree in the center of the backyard which was filled with a myriad of different lamps and string lights. In the corner they had a fantastic vintage lounge set up where we did the family formals, and some not so formal shots as well. They are quite the fun and goofy couple and it made for a great time documenting their special day. I've known Olya for quite some time, and am so happy she has found the one. Her prayers truly were answered!
woops. I guess its been a while since I've blogged. About 7 months actually. To be fair, I'm not much of a blogger anyways, but that's not really an excuse if you decide to start a blog. It's not that I haven't been taking pictures, I've been doing that. But, I guess I've probably just been lazy. So, I guess I can do a quick catch up post since I've got another wedding blog coming up soon. Let's see, my daughter Fiona Ann turned one,
we had a fun party for her at the park, she's already one and a half now, big kid bed and working on big kid sass. My wife and I took a spontaneous trip to Zion National Park which was very quick, but very beautiful in the winter. Highly recommend checking it out, but bring crampons.
I hosted a couple Run and Gun competitions this year, which is basically running a course and shooting targets to get the best accuracy and time. It's a great time if you're into target shooting.
We had another kid! Jacob Hawke Solesbee, the newest addition, maybe not the last. He's very opinionated and has quite the vocal levels. He's already three months and finally past his colic phase, so we are getting a little more sleep. Fiona loves him a bunch, she calls him buddy :)
Our last vacation was a trip to Montana to visit my wife's parents on their ranch, always a good time to just get away from the busy crazy life and just relax and enjoy the great outside. So that's about it in a nutshell, I'll try to keep this up to date a little better than before. But if you're following me on Instagram or Twitter you would be a little more up to date anyways. At least on what my kids are up to.
Well, this was my first shoot at the Los Angeles Temple as a second shooter, although I've been to quite a few weddings here before. The thing a photographer can really appreciate about shooting an L.D.S. wedding is the amount of time we have to shoot photos. Typically the wedding and reception of a L.D.S. wedding is spaced out much farther than a typical wedding, giving both the couple and the photographers time to get in a good portrait session before the reception. This couple was great, and it was fun catching up with some old friends I hadn't seen in quite a while!
We recently went to our friend's daughter's first year birthday cake smash at Zoomars in San Juan Capistrano. I've actually never heard of this place until we got the invite, but it's quite a big deal! It's a 2 acre petting zoo right in old town San Juan Capistrano with a whole bunch of different animals to interact with. Our daughter had a blast there as well! Cake smash parties are pretty fun, can't wait for our own daughter to have hers!

So I've finally processed my photos from my first wedding shoot as a second shooter at the amazing Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, what a venue! This place has so many great photo op locations and our wedding couple was amazing! It was a sunset wedding, so we opted to do the couples and wedding party photos before the actual ceremony while we still had some sunlight. I think the photos came out great and hope the couple enjoys them as well! A big thank you to Nicholas and Camryn Beale for letting us be a part of their special day!
